Lawyers demonstrated in Bhopal Court premises regarding the continuous vehicle thefts in the court campus. In case the vehicle thieves are not arrested within 7 days, the lawyers have said that they will stage a massive protest.
Thieves are continuously targeting the vehicles of lawyers in Bhopal District Court premises. Within the last 28 days, 8 two-wheelers of 8 advocates have been stolen. Even after registering FIRs in all the cases, the police have not been able to find a single stolen vehicle.
Former President of Bhopal Bar Association Devendra Rawat said that police have not made any concrete arrangements for the security of vehicles in the court premises. This is the reason why lawyers' vehicles are being targeted continuously.
In many cases, CCTV footage of vehicle thieves has also been handed over to the police. Even after this, the police has not been able to identify and arrest the accused. On Wednesday, a peaceful protest was held in the premises against the sluggish attitude of the police.
If the police do not arrest the vehicle thieves and recover the stolen vehicles within the next 7 days, then there will be a fierce protest.
