A jail warder was suspended by Bhopal Central Jail Superintendent after he beat up a prisoner on security duty, for providing treatment to an ailing prisoner.
In Bhopal Central Jail, a prisoner suffering from respiratory disease fell ill. The prisoner on duty in the jail hospital immediately gave him oxygen to save his life. A warder posted on the duty did not like this and hit the prisoner who was giving him treatment, due to which two holes have formed in the eardrum of the prisoner.
After the matter came to light, Jail Superintendent Rakesh Bhangre has suspended guard Shekhar Sagar.
According to Jail Superintendent Rakesh Bhangre, prisoner Revaram is a convict. He is on duty in the jail hospital. Another prisoner in the jail was admitted to the hospital on August 16 for treatment when his health deteriorated, Revaram immediately informed the doctor and initially gave oxygen to the sick prisoner. Prisoner Shekhar Sagar was on duty in the jail hospital itself.
He objected to the fact that the prisoner was given treatment without asking him. Revaram replied that he did whatever he thought was right to save the patient's life at that time.
