It rained in 10 districts of MP in past 24 hours

Rainfall was witnessed in more than 10 districts of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday and it also rained intermittently at night, due to continuous rain in Indore, the Shipra river flooded in Ujjain on Wednesday afternoon.

River water reached Chakratirth crematorium. The pyre burning here was half submerged. People performing the rituals had to leave the dead body and go to a higher place.

Later some people moved forward in knee-deep water and completed the cremation process quickly. The water of the Kanh river of Indore meets Shipra near Ramghat in Ujjain. Due to the strong low pressure area, there are chances of rain in the entire MP on August 23-24.

According to IMD Bhopal, there may be heavy rain in 26 districts of the state on both these days.

Today, within 9 hours from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, more than 2.25 inches of water was recorded in Tikamgarh, 2.75 inches  inches of water was recorded in  Dhar, and 45  inches of water was recorded  in Nowgong.

Rainfall has also occurred in Guna, Indore, Pachmarhi, Ratlam, Shivpuri, Damoh, Jabalpur, Mandla, Narsinghpur, Umaria and Balaghat districts.

In the last 24 hours, 22 districts of the state received rainfall. Khargone and Sagar received the highest rainfall of 3.25 inches. 2 inches of rain was recorded in Dhar, 1.25 inches in Pachmarhi, 1.75 inches in Satna and 1.25 inches in Khajuraho. Around 4.5 inches of rain fell in Bhopal, Jabalpur, Betul and Ujjain. Light rainfall was also recorded in Guna, Narmadapuram, Indore, Agar-Malwa, Shajapur, Shivpuri, Chhindwara, Damoh, Mandla, Narsinghpur, Tikamgarh, Balaghat and Umaria districts.

In the last 24 hours, 22 districts of the state received rain. The maximum rainfall of 3.25 inches was recorded in Khargone and Sagar. 2 inches of rain was recorded in Dhar, 1.25 inches in Pachmarhi, 2.75 inches in Satna, 1.25 inches in Khajuraho. About 1.45 inches of water fell in Bhopal, Jabalpur, Betul, Ujjain. Light rain was also recorded in Guna, Narmadapuram, Indore, Agar-Malwa, Shajapur, Shivpuri, Chhindwara, Damoh, Mandla, Narsinghpur, Tikamgarh, Balaghat, Umaria districts.
