All districts will now have Investment Facilitation Centers. Collectors will be nodal officers in their respective districts. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav informed this while addressing the high-level meeting at Mantralaya here on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Yadav reviewed preparations for the Regional Industry Conclave to be held on August 28 in Gwalior.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav discussed about organizing conclave sessions for investment in various sectors through video conference. Around 2500 delegates will attend the conclave. Participants from other countries including Netherlands, Ghana, Canada, Mexico will also take part. Land allotment for industrial units will also be done during the conclave. In the meeting, Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana, Additional Chief Secretary Chief Minister’s Office Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Sanjay Kumar Shukla, and senior officials were present.
Chief Minister Yadav gave instructions to explore and utilize the possibilities in tourism, food processing, and IT sectors. Dr. Yadav said that every effort should be made to invite investors to the conclave. Both local and external investors should be encouraged. Problems of local industrialists should be addressed. He asked the Collectors to keep information about the land available where industries could be established.
Collectors should be in touch with industrialists. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the activities of support groups for small and cottage industries should be increased in every district. Handloom and horticulture sectors also need attention. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that collectors should also discuss with the ministers in charge. A favourable environment should be created for setting up industries in Gwalior and Chambal divisions. All investment proposals should be evaluated. Principal Secretary of the Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Department, Raghavendra Kumar Singh gave a presentation.
Water Resources Minister Tulsi Silavat, Revenue Minister Karan Singh Verma, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput, New and Renewable Minister Rakesh Shukla also joined the meeting virtually through video conference.
