Bokaro, February 12, 2024: A remarkable initiative has emerged in Chandankiyari block of Jharkhand's Bokaro district, focusing on the conservation of environment, nature, and culture. Under this initiative, Prem Kumar Sinha and his wife Meera Devi, residents of Sabara village in Chandankiyari block, have constructed a two-acre pond together. Additionally, they have established a beautifully landscaped garden spanning four acres near the pond. This endeavor will not only facilitate the local community but also play a crucial role in environmental conservation.
Prem Kumar expressed that the inspiration to build this pond came from his parents, who themselves had built a four-acre garden with their own hands. Through this remarkable initiative, the people of Sabara village will find new enthusiasm in life.
Furthermore, with the aim of promoting the culture of water, forest, and land conservation, Prem Kumar organized a wedding ceremony between the pond and the trees. This ceremony lasted for about three days, during which all villagers participated with great enthusiasm.
It is noteworthy that this initiative is a significant step in the conservation of water, forests, and land, especially in states like Jharkhand. Through this initiative, people in rural areas will benefit from greater convenience.
Notably Prem Kumar's son, Indrajit Mahatha, currently serves as a DIG in the Jharkhand government, and he is also inspired to contribute to his father's conservation efforts. His son-in-law, Shashank Shekhar, holds the position of Assistant General Manager in Bokaro Steel ltd, and his younger son-in-law, Devasheesh, serves as an Assistant Commissioner in the revenue department.
