Indore police have succeeded in arresting two drug peddlers who were involved in selling drugs illegally in large quantities from Mandsaur district and sell in small packets in Indore.

Police have seized 550 grams of smack worth Rs 55 lakh, a car and Rs 94000 cash have been seized from their possession.

Operation Eagle Claw is being run by Indore Police to curb and control the illegal drug trade. To nab the drug dealers, the police formed two separate special teams of Pardesipura and MIG police station and interrogated the drug peddlers and investigated their network. After this, the suspects were kept under surveillance. On the basis of information received from the informer, the police cordoned off the service road near Hanuman Granite on June 24, 2024 and arrested Vishal alias Nikki Dhiman resident Pushp Ratan Colony Indore and Ram Bhomraj resident Swarn Bagh Indore and recovered 550 grams of smack (worth Rs 55 lakh) from their possession.

A car bearing registration number MP09WE7332 and Rs 94000 cash were also recovered from the possession of the accused. Packaging machines, silver foil and packing material, and a small electronic weighing machine have also been recovered from the possession of the accused.

The accused told during interrogation that they used to bring drugs in bulk and make small packets of it and sell it to the peddlers and smack consumers of the city. Accused Vishal alias Nikki Dhiman used to get publicity from the money of smack and also sponsors cricket teams in tournaments. Police is also questioning the accused regarding the sources of drugs.

In another action, Indore Police arrested Nimesh Mishra resident Hukmakhedi Reti Mandi and Mukesh Solanki resident slum, Sudama Nagar near Khajrana Ring Road by cordoning off Annapurna Road and seized 6 boxes of illegal country liquor masala worth about Rs 33,000 and a white car bearing registration number MP09CY1510 worth about Rs 3.50 lakh  were seized from the accused.
