In a major political shift, hundreds of young people from Bokaro Assembly constituency joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), inspired by the central government’s initiatives . The induction event was led by Vikram Mahto, son of social activist and former BJP district president Rajendra Mahto.
The new members were warmly welcomed by BJP’s State General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Pradeep Verma and Bokaro MLA and BJP candidate Biranchi Narayan, who adorned the newcomers with party stoles, symbolizing their entry into the BJP family. The youth celebrated their new political alignment, welcoming Narayan with drums and cheers.
In his address, MP Pradeep Verma expressed confidence in the youth and women of Jharkhand to lead the charge against what he described as an "anti-people" government. "The current administration has let down all sections of society," Verma said, adding that thousands are joining BJP daily, drawn by its development-centric policies.
Biranchi Narayan emphasized the unity demonstrated by the event as a strong indicator of upcoming change. “Together, we will pave the path of development in Bokaro Assembly,” he said, reiterating BJP’s commitment to service and growth, with plans to implement projects benefiting all sections of society.
The attendees included prominent community members, such as Gopal Shah, Neeraj Gupta, Pradeep Singh, Manju Devi, and former village head Yudhishthir Mahto, all of whom joined along with their supporters, signaling a shift in local sentiment toward the BJP.
Narayan also urged the people of Bokaro to support BJP in the upcoming elections and extended an invitation to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit on November 10 at Chandan Kiyari's Chandipur Grounds .
