Hospitals must ensure security measures and better health services: CS

Chief Secretary Veera Rana has issued directives to enhance security measures and improve healthcare facilities in the state's hospitals. She emphasized the need for installing CCTV cameras and conducting regular security audits in all district hospitals. The installation of CCTV cameras will not only bolster hospital security but also enable swift action during emergencies. Additionally, she instructed that security guards receive training to ensure effective response in critical situations. To prevent unauthorized access, she mandated the issuance of identity cards to hospital visitors.

The Chief Secretary also urged Collectors, Commissioners, and senior police officers to carry out regular inspections of hospitals, assessing security protocols, lighting arrangements, toilet cleanliness, and other essential services. During a high-level meeting at Mantralaya, Vallabh Bhawan, she conducted a district-wise virtual review of various development projects, public welfare schemes, and health-safety measures.

In response to the spread of seasonal ailments, the Chief Secretary emphasized the need to enhance the treatment arrangements in government health institutions. She directed the launch of a campaign to issue Ayushman cards to the remaining eligible citizens under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, ensuring that all qualified individuals receive the benefits of the scheme.

Rana said that PM Jan-Man Maha Abhiyan is an ambitious effort to improve the socio-economic condition of especially vulnerable tribal groups. She reviewed the progress of the ongoing work under the campaign. The Chief Secretary said that the set targets of PM Jan-Man Maha Abhiyan should be accomplished on time and with quality.

Review of works of AMRUT 2.0

The Chief Secretary also reviewed the progress of urban development and infrastructure projects under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme. She instructed the concerned urban bodies to expedite the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and ensure timely completion of the works. The review covered the status of water supply, sewerage management, green area development, and urban transport projects in various urban areas. The Chief Secretary emphasized the importance of completing these projects on schedule and maintaining the required quality standards.

The ,CS directed that all works under the Jal Jeevan Mission be completed with a focus on quality to ensure the availability of clean drinking water in rural areas. She also emphasized the need for coordinated efforts among the urban development, police, rural development, and animal husbandry departments to prevent stray animals from wandering onto national highways. Additionally, she instructed that these animals be relocated to safer areas.

Review of Revenue Campaign

  The Chief Secretary also reviewed the progress of the Revenue Campaign-2 being conducted in the state. She asked all the district collectors to ensure the settlement of pending revenue cases within the time limit. The Chief Secretary also directed to continuously monitor the rain situation and arrange relief camps as needed. She said that all departments should be coordinated and prepared to deal with possible disasters.

The Chief Secretary said that investment promotion centers have been launched in all the districts of the Gwalior-Chambal division by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav in Gwalior. In the remaining districts also, centers should be started on a priority basis and nodal officers should be appointed. The Chief Secretary instructed the Collectors to complete the prescribed process of converting Vangrams into Rajasva Grams on priority. She instructed to provide benefits of Kisan Samman Nidhi to the eligible farmers and run a campaign to make Kisan Credit Cards.
