Hemant Soren resolves to uproot BJP from State

Thursday, 14 November 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

In an election meeting held in Sindri, Chief Minister Hemant Soren took a pledge to uproot BJP and said that Mahagathbandhan will become a strong alliance and uproot Bharatiya Janata Party from the State.

Soren further said that these feudal people and those who spread poison in the society will be driven out of the State. Ideas against tribal, Dalit, labourers and farmers will not work in Jharkhand. In 20 years of its rule, BJP pushed Jharkhand in the wrong direction and made it sink in the mud.

Soren further said that during their tenure, people died of hunger, farmers committed suicide and people were forced to migrate. Now due to the policies of the central government, people are forced to migrate from the country.

The CM said that the Mahagathbandhan government has completed its five- year term while battling all the challenges. In the two- year transition period, we saved life and livelihood whereas before 2019, without any crisis or epidemic, people here died eating rice with ration cards in their hands. This is a group of traders and they have no concern for the poor.

The CM appealed to the people to free Sindri from the clutches of BJP and form a Mahagathbandhan government to work. “Make us strong so that work can be done for you. The Mahagathbandhan government has worked to reduce the burden imposed on you. Waiver of outstanding electricity bills, pension to all, respect to women, free electricity up to 200 units are examples of this,” said the CM.

In an election meeting organised in favour of the Congress candidate in Bagmara, Soren said that in 2015, the Sangh chief had told the Prime Minister about ending reservation. Soren said that “These people say that we will end reservation, but who had said that reservation will be ended. These people are saying that they will change the constitution. If these people come to power, then by implementing delimitation in Jharkhand, they will end our rights. BJP people only know how to loot and nothing else.”

The CM said that Jharkhand is giving pension to its State employees. The central government does not give pension to its employees, their pension money is invested in the market.

Soren said that before 2019, during the BJP rule, only a few people of the village used to get pension as at that time, there was a rule to give pension to a limited number. After our government was formed, this practice was ended and a rule was made to give pension to everyone. Today there is no village where anyone is untouched by pension.

Questioning the BJP, Soren asked that the BJP should tell how many women of the State have they empowered before 2019 and why they did not come forward for the uplift of women. Today when we are giving respect to women, why are their stomachs hurting?

The CM said that this is the first time in 20 years that a non- BJP government in the State has successfully completed a five- year term. These people are scared by the success of the Mahagathbandhan government and conducted the elections before time. But they do not know that the Mahagathbandhan government will be formed again in Jharkhand.
