Strong system of hail, rain and storm has become active in Madhya Pradesh. There was intermittent rain with strong wind in Chhindwara since 1 pm. Hail storm along with heavy rain in Kolaras of Shivpuri and in Dewas and Mandsaur rainfall was witnessed. There were hail storms at some places.
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of hailstorm in the southern part of Betul, northern part of Chhindwara, Seoni, Satna, Maihar, Rewa and Sidhi in the next 24 hours. There may be rain with thunder in these districts. The wind speed can be 60 kilometers per hour.
There is a possibility of light thunder and lightning in eastern part of Shivpuri, Orchha (Niwari), Tikamgarh. The weather is also expected to change in Khajuraho (Chhatarpur), Panna, Singrauli, Shahdol, Umaria, Amarkantak (Anuppur), Mandla, Balaghat, Jabalpur and Dindori.
According to the Meteorological Department, there will be moisture along with south-westerly and south-easterly winds for the next 3 days. Similar weather will continue for the next few days. The system will start weakening from May 15.
Senior Scientist of the Meteorological Department, Bhopal, said that there is a Western Disturbance over the North West. Another Western Disturbance is becoming active in North India. Due to cyclonic circulation and passing of trough line, there is hailstorm, rain, storm and lightning in Madhya Pradesh.
For the next 24 hours Met has issued warning of thunder storms and gusty winds in Bhopal, Vidisha, Rajgarh, Narmadapuram, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Shajapur, Agarmalwa, Neemuch, Singrauli, Sidhi, Mauganj, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Mandla, Balaghat, Patna, Damoh, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh , in Niwari, Guna, Ashoknagar, Gwalior, Datia, Morena districts.
The Met has issued an alert of hail storm, thunder storms and gusty winds in In Raisen, Sehore, Alirajpur, Bhind, Betul, Khargone, Barwani, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Udaipur, Dewas, Mandsaur, Shivpuri, Ratlam districts.
