During the State Cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Yadav has said in his address before the meeting that the ministers must make night halt at least once in a month while touring the districts under their charge. He said that instructions have been issued by the School Education Department regarding the ban on the education of other religions in madarsas. As per the provision of Article 28 (3) of the Constitution, all government grants to madarsas which compel children studying there to receive education of other religions or attend worship contrary to the teachings of their religion will be stopped. Other appropriate legal action including due process to cancel the recognition of such madarsas will also be ensured.

Number of EOW and Lokayukta units will be increased

Yadav said that the state government is starting four missions underlining the importance of youth, farmers, women and poor. A brainstorming programme will be held soon for discussion in this regard, in which all the ministers will participate. He said that to enhance the system's effectiveness in combating corruption, the number of EOW and Lokayukta units will be increased in the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the programme of Rakshabandhan was celebrated with enthusiasm and gaiety in the state. On the occasion of Janmashtami festival on August 26, programmes will be organised in the state centred on various aspects related to the life of Lord Shri Krishna. Also, town halls will be developed for organising cultural activities in urban areas.

Chief Minister Yadav said that a committee will be formed for Maa Narmada Mission for the purpose of overall Narmada development. Under the mission, urban bodies and Panchayat Raj institutions from the origin of Narmada ji to the Gujarat border will work for the continuity of Narmada Ji's flow and the health of tributary rivers and water sources. Under the mission, along with the maintenance and upgradation of pilgrimage places and Dev Sthals, activities will also be conducted to provide basic facilities to those undertaking Narmada Parikrama. In the course of time, along with Narmada Ji, other rivers of the state will also be included in this campaign.

Yadav said that with the aim of strengthening the rural economy, instructions have been given to the departments to make plans on milk production, increasing income from crops, organic orchards etc. With the aim of environmental protection, a campaign focused on freedom from plastic will also be conducted in the state.
