“Inspiration and courage are essential to achieve success in any endeavor,” said Haryana’s Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Rajesh Nagar on Sunday, after honouring the meritorious students, athletes at the annual function of Gujjar Samaj Kalyan Parishad, Chandigarh.
Nagar also urged the people to contribute to the realization of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India. During the event, the Sardar Amrik Singh Memorial Gujjar Gaurav Medals and cash prizes were presented to winners in various fields, including sports and academics. The meritorious students and athletes were recognized for their excellence.
“A promising child has the potential for great success, and the achievements of meritorious students are a reflection of the kind of citizens they will grow to become,” he said, adding that the strength of any society lies in its collective efforts to nurture and uplift each other. “Looking at the remarkable achievements of the Gujjar community today, it is evident that each member is contributing positively to the society,” he added.
The Minister said that the Gujjar community is a resilient and hardworking group, with its members serving as strong examples of self-made success. “The people of this community have nurtured their roots with dedication and perseverance,” he added, while noting the inspiring achievements of local athletes, who are role models for the broader community.
Nagar credited the vision and tireless efforts of the senior citizens of the Gujjar Samaj for making this progress possible. He highlighted the significant contributions of the community, including donations to schools and educational institutions, as well as scholarships provided to outstanding students.
