Govt to provide full support to investors in Health Sector: CM

Friday, 28 June 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

Strengthening the health care system of the state is the priority of the government. Efforts are continuously being made to improve the health structures in this direction. Chief Minister Champai Soren, while addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of Gautam Medical College and Hospital at Ranchi Smart City Campus today, expressed the commitment of the state government to provide good medical facilities to the people of the state. He said that the opening of this medical college in the private sector is an important step in the field of health system. This initiative will definitely give a new direction to the development of the state.

The CM said that in view of the health related requirements in Jharkhand, there is a need to open more and more medical colleges and hospitals. Even today, there are very few medical colleges and hospitals in this state as compared to the standard level of the country. In such a situation, the state government is continuously making efforts for new medical colleges and hospitals here. I am confident that in the coming days, many medical colleges and hospitals will open here on private or PPP mode, which will benefit the people here.

The CM said that investors, who are willing to invest here in any sector including health, will be fully supported by the government. They should submit their proposal; the government will consider it with all seriousness. Investors will also be given incentives as per the government policy. He said that this step is being taken to accelerate the pace of development in the state.

The CM said that even today people turn to other states and big cities for better treatment. Due to expensive treatment there, their financial condition is adversely affected. The government is trying to provide better and modern medical examination and treatment facilities to the people here in their own state. In this direction, medical colleges and various hospitals are being upgraded. Along with providing the latest testing machines, availability of doctors is being ensured. The CM said that with the opening of new hospitals, people will not need to go out for treatment.

The CM said that it is our commitment to provide good health facilities to the people from rural and remote areas of the state to cities. Health centers are being strengthened in this direction. The government is working for this, but private medical colleges and hospitals will also have to come forward for this. They should provide health facilities in rural areas so that villagers do not have to go here and there for treatment. With everyone's cooperation, we will be successful in providing good health facilities to the people of the state.

Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Avinash Kumar, Principal Secretary of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department Ajay Kumar Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Arwa Rajkamal, Vice Chancellor of Ranchi University Dr. Ajit Kumar Singh, Chairman of Right Path Foundation Dr. Abhijeet Kumar were specially present in the foundation stone laying program.
