Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam's Personal Secretary and Jharkhand Administrative Service officer, Sanjeev Lal have been suspended. After getting consent from Chief Minister, Champai Soren, the Personnel Department has issued an order in this regard.
On May 6, ED has seized Rs 35 crore from Sanjeev Lal's servant Jahangir. Also, ED officials have recovered Rs 2 lakh in cash from his chamber located at Project Bhawan. In this regard, Sanjeev Lal's wife was also called for questioning by ED on Thursday. The ED has interrogated both the husband and wife by making them sit face to face. Sanjeev Lal's wife has said that she has no information about where Rs 35 crore came from.
ED has made many revelations after finding more than Rs 35 crore from the house of Minister Alamgir Alam's OSD servant Jahangir on May 6. It is being told that Jahangir's salary was in thousands but his expenses were in crores. Many important revelations have also come to light in the investigation of Jahangir's bank account details.
Jahangir Alam has gathered crores of rupees from Sanjeev Lal's black money. Lakhs of rupees are also deposited in Jahangir's account whereas Jahangir got only a few thousand rupees as salary. But he has spent crores in purchasing flats and vehicles.
