Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar interacted with villagers at Panchayat Bhawan, Kolebira in Simdega district on Thursday. He said that it is a matter of joy that Simdega district has made a distinct identity in the field of sports. He said that in the ongoing Paris Paralympic Games, the Divyang players of our country are earning medals by performing excellently. Encouraging the youth to participate in sports, the Governor said that sports are very important for today's generation.
The Governor said that various welfare schemes of the Central and State Government are running in the interest of the common people. He said that all eligible persons should get the benefit of these. He told the villagers that if there is any problem in any scheme or you are deprived of any benefit, then inform us so that your problems can be resolved.
Appreciating the women's voluntary support groups, he inquired about the progress of the "Lakhpati Didi" scheme and asked how many people here have benefited from this scheme. Also, he got information on the status of drinking water supply and said that if there is any complaint, feel free to give it in writing so that it can be resolved quickly.
The villagers apprised the Governor about the road problem of Lachhdagarh, lack of health services, lack of doctors and insufficient availability of medicines in the hospital. Also, the problems of migration and lack of Rabi crop were also discussed by the villagers. The villagers also drew attention to the need for an astroturf ground in Kolebira.
On this occasion, the Governor distributed assets among the beneficiaries under various schemes. Also, bicycles were distributed among the students.
The Governor also planted trees under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign.
