In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha election, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Garhwa Shekhar Jamuar and Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar Pandey visited the remote and highly Naxal-affected Budha Pahad (Jhaludera) and Hesatu village on Saturday.
During the visit, the youths and young women who will exercise their franchise for the first time in this Lok Sabha election have been appealed to participate in the voting in large numbers. Along with this, an appeal has also been made for the participation of the elderly people.
A program was conducted among the villagers at Budha Pahad by SVEEP (Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation) Cell, Garhwa to promote voter education and voter awareness. Apart from this, DC also interacted with the officers and jawans of CRPF posted at Budha Pahad (Jhaludera) and Hesatu Camp and also boosted up their morale.
Boths officers also interacted with the villagers and knew their problems. DC took necessary steps for redressal of problems. They met with the children studying in Budha Pahad and the concerned officials were instructed for their better education.
