After the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) action, dreaded gangster Aman Sahu was shifted from Giridih Central Jail to Chaibasa jail on Sunday.
This is the 9th shift of this infamous gangster over the past 30 months. He is said to have connections with the international gangster, Lawrence Bishnoi.
The Jharkhand ATS, during massive manhunt and search operations had arrested four members of the Aman Sahu gang in connection with death threats to the Giridih Jail Superintendent, Himani Priya.
Those arrested were identified as Roushan Kumar, Shiv Shankar, Avinashi Kumar and Ajay Kumar Thakur in this connection.
The two-day long search operation by the ATS that was launched on July 12, ended on July 13.
In an FIR lodged with the Giridih mufassil police station on July 5, Himani Priya, had alleged that gangster, Aman Sahu, and his associate, Mayank Singh, had threatened to kill her over messages and WhatsApp calls on July 2 & 3. The gangsters had also threatened to target Himani's family if their demands were not fulfilled, the FIR suggests.
Soon after 12 days, since the gangster, Aman Sahu, was shifted to Giridih Central Jail from Palamu Jail, his close aids started bullying the Jail authorities at Giridih.
"Entire conversation between the Giridih Jail Superintendent and the gangster was held through international calls and messages on WhatsApp. As per the conversation, if Aman Sahu is not provided with the required facilities and amenities, the Jail Superintendent and her family will have to suffer serious consequences," a Government officer said.
Taking serious note of the FIR lodged by the Giridih Jail Superintendent, the Jharkhand ATS initiated a massive manhunt and search operations against the miscreants.
