Naina Sareen, a rising star in the Indian film industry, has captivated audiences with her inspiring journey from Bokaro Steel City to Mumbai’s bustling film scene.
Her father, Surendra Kumar Sareen, worked as an officer in the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) at the Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) in the Steel Melting Shop (SMS)-2 department. He retired a few years ago after a distinguished career. Following his retirement, Surendra and his wife, Neeta Sareen, continue to reside in Bokaro.
Born and raised in Bokaro, Naina’s passion for acting was evident from a young age. Despite the industrial town’s limited opportunities in the arts, her determination led her to the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII).
“Film school was a turning point,” Naina recalls. “The response from my mentors and peers validated my choice, and I knew I had to pursue this path.”
After completing her education, Naina moved to Mumbai, where she quickly made a mark in both national and international projects, including "Hotel Mumbai" and "Warrior Queen of Jhansi." Her journey has been marked by resilience and a commitment to her craft, proving that dreams can be achieved with perseverance and dedication.
One of her most challenging and rewarding roles to date is in the Netflix show 'Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper,' where she plays Ashoklata, a lower middle-class woman devoted to her family.
Naina Sareen's story is a beacon of hope for aspiring actors from small towns, proving that with perseverance, dedication, and a willingness to embrace challenges, dreams can indeed come true.
