Former party MLA Deepak Joshi rejoins BJP

Only four days after Deepak Joshi addressed an election meeting for Congress candidate Rajkumar patel in Budhni, joined the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP).

Congress has suffered a major setback before the by-elections in Madhya Pradesh. Former Chief Minister Kailash Joshi's son and former minister Deepak Joshi has once again joined the BJP. He has taken BJP membership in Nandner of Budhni assembly constituency on Thursday in the presence of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

It is known that before the last assembly elections, Deepak Joshi had joined the Congress in the presence of former chief minister Kamal Nath. Later, he had contested from Kathegaon seat on a Congress ticket, but had to face defeat.

It is said that former minister Deepak Joshi was going to join BJP a few months ago. It is even said that preparations for the entire program had been finalized at the BJP office in Bhopal, but the throcess was postponed at the last moment.

BJP sources said that there was disagreement within the party itself regarding Deepak Joshi's return to BJP.

Now, once again Deepak Joshi has joined the BJP in the presence of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. A few days ago, Deepak Joshi also addressed a meeting in Budhni assembly. During this, he appealed for votes for the Congress candidate. Just four days after this, he joined BJP.Deepak Joshi has been a member of the executive committee of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha since 1983. In 1991, Deepak Joshi became a member of the executive council of Barkatulla University Bhopal. He remained a member till 1994 and then in the same year, he was elected president of the student union of Government Hamidia College Bhopal.

In 2000, Deepak Joshi became the state vice-president of BJP and in 2003, Deepak was elected to the 12th assembly from Bagli assembly constituency. He defeated Shyamlal Babulal of Congress.

In 2008, Deepak Joshi contested and won Hatpiplya constituency. He had defeated Rajendra Singh Baghel of Congress, while in 2013, Deepak was elected to the assembly for the third consecutive time. He once again defeated Rajendra Singh Baghel in the election. After this, he became a minister of state in the Shivraj government.
