Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said that said that some forces are trying to break our unity by spreading rumours on religious issues within the State, we all need to avoid these elements. He said that Jharkhand has been the land of heroes. We will not take any wrong step by getting misled by anyone. He said that in recent times some elements are talking about demographic change within the state, but the truth is that no picture of demographic change has been seen in any area of our state and neither is any factual data related to demographic change available. All the people of Jharkhand live with mutual love, harmony and goodwill and fight for their rights.
The CM said that our government has always tried to empower the tribal-indigenous people here socially, educationally and economically. The Chief Minister said that our government passed the Sarna Dharma Code Bill from the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly and sent it to the Center, but unfortunately the central government did not take any concrete steps on this important bill of ours.
The CM was addressing the "Aapki Yojana-Aapki Sarkar-Aapke Dwar" program organized at Bhognadih in Barhet block of Sahebganj district through video conferencing from his Residential Office on Wednesday.
On this occasion, the CM said that the provision of food, clothing and shelter is necessary in human life. Our government is providing food, clothing and shelter to everyone in the state. In the last 4 years, our government has done the work of reaching the government schemes to every person and every house. The previous government had done the work of deleting 11 lakh green ration cards, but our government has done the work of delivering ration to the homes of the people by issuing 20 lakh additional ration cards.
The CM said that Jharkhand is the first state in the country to implement the Sarvajan Pension Scheme. At present, not a single eligible person is deprived of pension scheme under social security.
Soren said that our government has resolved to empower half the population of the state by connecting it with various schemes. The Chief Minister said that in this series, Jharkhand "Mukhyamantri Mainiya Samman Yojana" has been started. Under this scheme, about 50 lakh sisters and mothers of the state have been added, who are being given 12 thousand honorarium in a year. He said that the second installment of "Mukhyamantri Mainiya Samman Yojana" has also been deposited in the accounts of the beneficiary women. He said that in the last 20 years, only 600 crore rupees were given to the women self-help group, our government has provided a fund of 10 thousand crore rupees in the last 4 years for the development of women self-help groups.
The CM said that our government has also been continuously making efforts in the direction of providing employment and jobs. The state government has done the work of appointing one and a half to two lakh people in the private sector with its efforts, while thousands of government appointments have also been made in different phases. He said that the process of about 40 to 50 thousand appointments is going on. He said that under the Chief Minister's Employment Generation Scheme, loans are being provided to the youth, through which they are getting connected with various means of self-employment.
On this occasion, the CM gave the gift of various schemes worth about 31184.923 lakh rupees to Sahibganj district through online medium. In which a total of 264 development schemes were inaugurated and the foundation stone was laid. Assets worth about 14441.449 lakh rupees were distributed among 332192 beneficiaries of both the districts. At the same time, 62 schemes worth Rs 5496.837 lakh were inaugurated and the foundation stone of 202 schemes worth Rs 25688.086 lakh was laid.
On this occasion, Ministers Satyanand Bhokta, Dr. Irfan Ansari MP from Barhet Vijay Hansda, MLA Stephen Marandi, Dinesh William Marandi, former Minister Hemlal Murmu, Commissioner of Santhal Pargana Division Lalchand Dadel, Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police of the district along with other officials were present through video conferencing.
