The EOW Bhopal has registered a case against five PWD officials under sections of forgery, preparing forged documents, criminal conspiracy and Prevention of Corruption Act. The accused have commited the crime in connivance with Bhopal's famous builder and consultant LN Malviya. This action has been taken in the case of defrauding the government of crores.
Earlier LN Infra Company was made a consultant for the construction of bridges and roads in Jabalpur. The department had kept a fund of Rs 12 crores for consultant companies. The officials, in collusion, gave Rs 26 crores rupees as consultancy against the rules. This has caused a loss of more than Rs 13.86 crores to the government. EOW has registered a case after several months of investigation.
The then AE Sajal Upadhyay, MP Singh SE, Narendra Kumar Director NBD and RN Mishra, then Financial Advisor PWD have cases. FIR has been registered against all of them under sections of corruption law under cheating, forgery and conspiracy.
M/s LN Malviya Infra Pvt. Ltd. has obtained the tender by submitting fake CVs and curriculum vitae of the key experts.
