Preeti Kumar, wife of IAS officer Avinash Kumar, was today questioned at the ED office in land matters related to Berlin Hospital. ED had already interrogated Preeti Kumar in the same case. Preeti Kumar was called to the zonal office of the agency located on Ranchi Airport Road at 11 am on Wednesday.
Kumar reached the ED office on time with the file in her hand. After completing the necessary paperwork, ED officials started interrogating her.
On April 13, 2023, ED had raided the house of Bhanu Pratap Prasad, the then Revenue Sub-Inspector of Badgai zone. Then many land documents were recovered from his place. An FIR was also lodged against Bhanu in Sadar police station on charges of keeping government documents in the house. During the investigation, ED came to know that Bhanu Pratap had given land to many influential people by falsifying documents. Documents related to Preeti Kumar's land were also found from Bhanu's place. After this, ED had sought information from Badgai Zone about the land of their Berlin Hospital.
