District Education superintendent (DSE) cum  Right to Education (RTE) Nodal Officer  for BPL admission in public  schools has served show cause notice to16 prominent  schools of Dhanbad for providing misleading number of seats available for admission in those schools to his office under BPL quota. 

DSE  Ayush Kumar said that by serving  show cause to public schools we have asked to clarify the actual number of seats  available for admission under BPL quota. DSE has clearly stated in the letter that the number of 
vacancies (seats available. For admission ) is  misleading  in the report made available to his  office as it has shown much fewer seats for BPL admission compared to actual number of seats  available in totality from entry level class to class eight .

The  schools served show cause notice include Tata DAV Public School -Sijua, DAV Public School- Mahuda, DAV Public School -Rangamati Sindri, DAV Public School- Koyla Nagar, DAV Public School -Alkusa, Delhi Public School -Dhanbad, DAV Public School -Munidih Project Dhanbad, Rajkamal Saraswati Vidya Mandir- Ashok Nagar, DAV Public School- Kusunda, Dhanbad City School, Dhanbad Public School -KG Ashram, Dhanbad Public School- Hirak Branch, Tata DAV Public School- Jamadoba, DAV Model Schools -CFRI Jharia, DAV Centenary Public School- Baniahirand Doon Public School Satkira Topchanchi.

According to DSE there appears to be a huge difference between numbers provided to the department as well as that were sent to U-Dias and CBSE. The report submitted by U Dias and CBSE  revealed that these schools hid actual numbers sent to the department for BPL enrollment  as fewer seats were made available for such admissions compared to reports sent to U Diad and CBSE.
The schools have been asked to clarify within the shortest possible time. The notice has been served after complaints of select parents in this regard.
