The Bokaro Steel Plant initiated a drone survey today for the inspection of roof structures in the SMS-New department. The launch event was attended by Mr. Rajiv Dhawan, Chief General Manager (MRD & Additional Charge SMS-New), and Mr. Shaligram Singh, Chief General Manager (CED). The survey is being conducted by the Structural Inspection Geodetic Survey (SIGS) department. Notable attendees included T.S. Ranjan, R.K. Patro, P.K. Swain, P. Minz, J. Imam, and Rituraj Singh.
This advanced drone survey initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of roof structure inspections at the Bokaro Steel Plant by providing high-resolution imagery and real-time data. The use of drones will significantly reduce the need for manual inspections and help identify structural issues swiftly and safely.
The project is being executed under the SIGS department by M/s Huntec Engineering and Technology Private Limited.
