Gossner High School in Ranchi witnessed a unique and impactful event, the 'Rain Guard Health Initiative', organized by Dristi NGO on Saturday. The primary aim of this initiative was to raise awareness about mosquito-borne diseases during the monsoon season and to educate students on essential preventive measures.

The event began with a compelling street play, performed by Dristi NGO members. This engaging presentation effectively conveyed critical information to students about identifying and preventing mosquito-borne illnesses, emphasizing the seriousness of diseases caused by mosquitoes.

The program featured key contributions from the school principal, Kuldeep Guria, and Dristi NGO Chapter Lead, Nihal Verma. Other NGO members, including Arpita Kriti, Harsh Kumar, Ayushi, Suruchi and Isha, facilitated interactive sessions and discussions with students, providing in-depth insights into health and hygiene during the monsoon season.

A significant highlight of the event was the distribution of health kits. Dristi NGO provided 200 students with kits containing odomos, hand sanitizers, face masks, and gloves. This initiative aimed to promote mosquito protection and personal hygiene among the students.

At the conclusion of the program, school teachers also addressed the students on monsoon health awareness and conducted a detailed discussion on preventive measures against diseases. This awareness campaign not only enhanced health consciousness among students but also contributed to promoting caution and cleanliness in the wider community during the monsoon season.
