Dr Satyajit Gupta retained his secretaryship of the Red Cross Society Daltonganj.
In a keen contest Dr Gupta defeated his nearest rival Dr Snehlata Tripathy by 12 votes.
Dr Gupta polled 223 votes while Dr Snehlata finished with 211 votes.
SDO sadar A K Tiwary has confirmed the victory of Dr Gupta as secretary of the Palamu district Red Cross Society.
SDO sadar said a total of 440 votes were cast. 6 votes were rejected. The voting was for executive committee etc also.
Election of the Red Cross Society was held today after 7 long years. Today was the day of polling, counting and result. End
