Adding another jewel to its crown, DPS Bokaro has been recognized as the 'Centre of Excellence' by the Knowledge and Awareness Mapping Platform (KAMP). This initiative, backed by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and the National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (NIScPR) under the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India, marks a significant achievement for the school, making it the first in Jharkhand to receive this honor.
The recognition comes due to the exceptional performance of DPS Bokaro students in the KAMP exam, where they have consistently secured top positions in the state for the past two years. In light of their outstanding performance and innovative capabilities, KAMP has established an exclusive Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics Laboratory on the campus.
This new lab, equipped with the latest technology, will provide students and faculty members with access to coding, AI, robotics, scientific excursions, workshops, live lectures, training sessions, various programs, and competitions, along with continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities.
During his visit, the Sub-Divisional Officer of Chas, Om Prakash Gupta, praised the establishment of the first KAMP ‘Centre of Excellence’ in Jharkhand at DPS Bokaro. He commended the advanced technological resources made available to the students for their holistic development.
Principal Dr. A.S. Gangwar expressed that this recognition is a matter of pride not only for DPS Bokaro but also for the educational landscape of Jharkhand. With the installation of this center, students now have the opportunity to learn 21st-century skills aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, focusing on individual development. They can enhance their scientific skills by learning about AI and robotics, matching the contemporary demands of the present era.
