The Horticultural Society of Jamshedpur (HSJ) has announced the establishment of the Dorabjee Rose Garden near Mody Park. This exciting development was revealed during the 8th Annual General Meeting of HSJ, held at the SNTI Auditorium.

The new garden is made possible through the generous provision of land by Tata Steel Limited (TSL) and Tata Steel USIL (TSLUSIL). This collaboration underscores the ongoing support and commitment of Tata Steel towards enhancing the green spaces in Jamshedpur and fostering a deeper connection between the community and nature.

During the meeting, Baren Maity and Aswani Srivastava presented a detailed progress report and layout overview of the Dorabjee Rose Garden. They highlighted the garden's planned features, which aim to showcase a diverse collection of rose species and provide a tranquil environment for visitors to enjoy. The garden is expected to become a significant attraction for both residents and tourists, contributing to the city's reputation as a hub of horticultural excellence.

The Dorabjee Rose Garden is part of HSJ's broader initiative to promote a Green Revolution in Jamshedpur. This initiative includes organizing major events such as the 41st All India Rose Convention cum Rose Show and the 34th Annual Flower Show, as well as various other competitions, workshops, and celebrations aimed at encouraging community participation in environmental conservation.

The HSJ extends its heartfelt thanks to Tata Steel and TSLUSIL for their invaluable support in this endeavor. This new garden will not only enhance the beauty of Mody Park but also serve as a living testament to the power of community collaboration in achieving sustainable development goals.
