District and additional sessions judge number 1 Santosh Kumar 2 (yes) of the civil court Palamu Daltonganj hoisted the Tiranga at a simple but impressive ceremony.
Secretary of the Palamu district legal services authority Arpit Srivastav said "The R Day ceremony was graced by the entire battery of judges and judicial officers besides lawyers and others."
He said once this ceremony was over in the Bench, we moved on to the Bar.
On being asked if the district and additional sessions judge number 1 gave any speech pat came the reply from Srivastav "We don't give speech. We sing national anthem and salute our beloved Tiranga."
Court sources said the the principal district and sessions judge Niraj Kumar Srivastav was on leave.
Court sources conceded that school children mostly skip such pouring in such functions in the court premise just because of a popular perception among the children that court sends one to jail and punishes too. The children hardly know that the court acquits with honour too.
Similarly the Dean Students Welfare Ambalika Prasad unfurled the flag at the Kautilya Bhavan of the NP university in Daltonganj.
She did it as the acting VC NPU Dr Tapan Kumar Shandilya unfurls Tiranga at his DSPM university in Ranchi.
Journalists are never asked by any organization to unfurl national flag at any private sector here reason for which is that journalists begin to ask too many things that private sector does not want to share!
Again very little number of women barring heads of the institutions of girls schools, girls colleges, KGB Awasiya Vidyalaya etc unfurl national flag in Palamu. National flag hoisting is purely a male dominated affair.
