Wednesday, 02 October 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

A one-day professional dialogue on the "Socio-Economic Development of Jharkhand" under the leadership of Aditya Vikram Jaiswal, former President of the Jharkhand Pradesh Professionals Congress and State Representative of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee was held here on Tuesday.

A meaningful discussion was held on how to drive Jharkhand’s socio-economic progress. The dialogue featured distinguished guests, including Priyanka Chaturvedi, Rajya Sabha MP from Shiv Sena, Deepika Pandey Singh, Minister of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Disaster Management, and Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, President of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, who shared their valuable insights on the topic.

Speaking on the occasion, Chaturvedi expressed her pleasure at attending the event in Ranchi, saying that it provided fresh perspectives and innovative ideas for developing the state. She also shared some developmental thoughts from Maharashtra, hoping that they could contribute to Jharkhand’s progress. Chaturvedi praised Jharkhand's rapid growth under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

She further commented that the BJP has been trying to instigate tribal communities in the state, but the people of Jharkhand have stood firmly with their Chief Minister, thwarting the BJP’s schemes. She issued a warning that if the BJP does not change its ways, it will face another defeat in the upcoming assembly elections, just as it did in the Lok Sabha elections.

Minister Deepika Pandey Singh emphasized that agro-based industries would be set up across the state, with a single-window option to facilitate businesses. She highlighted the need for proper transportation for supply chains, warehouses, and cold storage facilities. She assured that farmers would receive fertilizers, seeds, and banking services through cooperatives and PACS, making resources readily available at the village level. She also spoke about promoting food processing units to benefit the state’s farmers.

JPCC president Keshav Mahato Kamlesh reiterated that India is a country of villages, and Mahatma Gandhi’s vision was to ensure holistic development at the grassroots level. He highlighted Gandhi’s belief in bringing the light of development to the last person in the village, which resonates with millions of people today. Kamlesh assured the gathering that he would take these discussions forward to the government and work towards the state's advancement.

Aditya Vikram Jaiswal, presiding over the event, expressed his gratitude to Priyanka Chaturvedi for sharing insights from Maharashtra’s development model, which he promised to present to the state government. He emphasized that Jharkhand could learn from Maharashtra’s progress and vowed to include these ideas in research papers and the Jharkhand Congress manifesto to ensure the state’s prosperity. He concluded by asserting that the Congress would once again form the government in the upcoming elections, committed to uprooting the BJP from Jharkhand.

The event was moderated by Professor Kumar Aditendra Nath Shahdeo, while former Secretary of the Jharkhand Professionals Congress, Meenakshi Singh, delivered an impactful speech. The vote of thanks was delivered by renowned educationist Vijayashree Shahdeo.
