Cycling for health: SMH organizes 12-Km Cyclothon with over 150 riders

Sagar Multispeciality Hospital (SMH) organised FIT Bhopal Cyclothon with an aim to promote health and wellness within the communities.  Cyclothon held in collaboration with the Bhopal Bicycle Riders Group witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 150 cycling enthusiasts.

The Cyclothon was graced by Dr Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhopal, with Ghanshyam Malviya, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, present as a special guest.

The 12-kilometer Cyclothon was flagged off by Sagar Group's Chief Managing Officer, Avi Maheshwari, and the hospital's Director, Dr. Aditya Agarwal. The 12-kilometer Cyclothon commenced at Sagar Multispeciality Hospital (SMH) and passed through key landmarks such as NRI School, Bagsewania Police Station, and Kuber Dairy, before concluding back at the hospital premises.

An informative session on fitness, nutrition, and preventive healthcare was conducted by expert Dr. Gaurav Mehra Consultant, Physiotherapy Services. The session emphasized the benefits of cycling, particularly for muscle health and highlighted how activities like cycling can significantly contribute to physical and mental well-being while fostering community bonds. Participants were treated to a healthy breakfast, thoughtfully curated to align with the event's theme of wellness. Additional gifts such as first-aid kits, mobile stands, and mouse pads were distributed to the cyclists.

SMH also extended exclusive benefits to participants through the SMH Health Privilege Card, underscoring its commitment to supporting the community's health beyond the event. The Cyclothon concluded on a high note, marked by smiles, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to better health.
