In a significant breakthrough, the police successfully apprehended notorious criminal Harish Kumar Singh, a close associate of Jamshedpur's underworld don, Akhilesh Singh. The arrest took place at a hotel in Rajgir, Bihar, where Harish Singh had been hiding under the alias Ajay Kumar.

Harish Singh, a resident of East Plant Basti in Burmamines, had a criminal record encompassing approximately 30 cases, including murder, robbery, and extortion in Jamshedpur. His involvement in a recent gang war in Neeti Bagh Colony had heightened police efforts to bring him to justice.

Addressing a press meet, Kishore Kaushal revealed that the police had actively pursued Harish Singh, who had managed to evade arrest by posing as a lawyer in court. The criminal's notoriety extended to threatening prominent businessmen in the city, prompting the formation of a special team led by City SP.

Capture in Rajgir: Through surveillance of Harish Singh's mobile, the police discovered his presence in Rajgir. Acting swiftly on informers' tips, the police raided the hotel where Harish Singh attempted to escape but was eventually apprehended. He had been using a fake Aadhar card under the name Ajay Kumar to conceal his identity.

Deceptive Tactics: During the arrest, Harish Singh initially claimed to be Ajay Kumar but later confessed to his true identity after intense interrogation. The police also recovered four SIM cards with fake names and multiple fake IDs, including one in the name of Sanjay Ravidas.

Legal Proceedings: Following his arrest, Harish Singh underwent a medical examination at MGM Hospital before being remanded to judicial custody. The DGP had earlier announced a reward of ₹40,000 for information leading to the arrest of Harish Kumar Singh.

Most of the cases against Harish Singh were registered in Sakchi, Azad Nagar, Burma Mines, Golmuri, Sitaram Dera, and Mango police stations. His criminal history traces back to his origins in Nusratpur, Sandesh police station area of Arrah district, Bihar.

The successful arrest of Harish Singh marks a significant victory for law enforcement in Jamshedpur, highlighting their dedication to curbing organized crime and ensuring the safety of the city's residents.
