Convocation ceremony of Junior Engineering Networking JE (NE) 159 and JE (NE) 160 courses was held at Iyappa Hall of Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) on May 10.
During the ceremony, 99 Non Commissioned Officers of Indian Army and 4 foreign trainees from the friendly foreign countries of Bhutan, Nepal and Uganda were awarded Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal. Maj Gen Sanjay Sajjanhar, Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor, Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, Mhow was the Chief Guest for the event and he presented the medals and trophies to the award winners. These Non Commissioned Officers were administered the Engineer's Pledge by Brig Rajesh Verma, Commander, Faculty of Communication Engineering, MCTE.
In his valedictory address, the Chief Guest complimented all passing out Non Commissioned Officers, including foreign trainees from Royal Bhutan Army, Nepal Army and Uganda Army, for their performance. The Chief Guest emphasised on force modernization which is one of the thrust areas in all armies of the world today.
He reminded the graduating Non Commissioned Officers about the importance of the man behind the machine.
In his address, he exhorted the graduating Non Commissioned Officers to keep up pace with the phenomenal boom of technology in the field of communications and Information Technology and to always strive for excellence. MCTE boasts of impressive campus and laboratories for emerging technologies like 5G, AI, EM Spectrum Operations, Quantum Technology and VLSI, and is only institution which provides training to Military personnel in the specialized fields of Information and Communication Technologies in modern battlefield.
