Congress holds protest in front of ED Office

Friday, 23 August 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

As per the directions of All India Congress, the state Congress, under the leadership of newly appointed state president Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, on Thursday staged a protest in front of the Enforcement Directorate office demanding the formation of a JPC to probe the Adani mega scam.

Addressing the workers present on the occasion, Kamlesh said that the Congress had repeatedly demanded a probe into the Adani mega scam but the central government had always rejected it. "Now the latest revelations of Hindenburg are proving the allegations of the Congress to be true. The Congress is demanding a JPC for the probe but the central government running away from it proves that it wants to save its friends," he added.

The party State Chief said that ED, which targets opposition parties on every small and big issue, is silent in this case, which exposes their helplessness. This makes it clear that the country's investigation agency is working as a weapon of the Central Government, which is being used as a tool kit of the Center to send opposition leaders to jail by making false allegations on them at the behest of the government and to topple non - BJP ruled Governments in the states. He gave a clear message to the ED officials that if our Government is formed in the center in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, then everything will be clear.

Congress Legislative Party leader Dr. Rameshwar Oraon said that the country is in the grip of economic scams, institutions like SEBI, which protect the money of middle class families, have also been included in this list, but the central government is sleeping. "If JPC investigates the Adani mega scam, the rulers sitting in the central government will be exposed. Perhaps that is why Prime Minister Modi is silent on this matter. But those who avoid the public in the arrogance of power will have to go among the public where the public will definitely take their account," he added.

Minister Deepika Pandey Singh, MLA Pradeep Yadav, former MLA Mamta Devi, Amulya Neeraj Khalko, Satish Paul Munjani, Ajay Nath Shahdev, Sonal Shanti, Kamal Thakur, Gunjan Singh, Rakesh Kiran Mahato, Abha Sinha, Bhim Kumar, Sultan Ahmed, Gajendra Singh, Prashant Pandey, Ajay Singh, Neetu Devi, Anand Bihari Dubey and hundreds of people participated in the protest.
