Complaint-free service to passengers is our top priority: GM

Co-ordination review meeting of the second week of June held in West Central Railway under the chairmanship of General Manager Shobhana Bandopadhyay.

Additional General Manager RS Saxena along with the main departmental heads of the headquarters were present in this meeting. Apart from this, Divisional Railway Managers of all three divisions also remained connected through video conferencing.

There was a special emphasis on complaint-free service of passengers in the meeting. Along with this, many important topics like focusing on all the points of Key Performance Index (KPI) from the beginning of the financial year, carrying out the construction work of Amrit Bharat stations on war footing, working on 100 days target and action plan, intensive monitoring of maintenance and facilities of Vande Bharat train, developing Gati Shakti multi-model cargo terminal, increasing freight loading were discussed. Along with this, emphasis was given on safety, infrastructural work, punctuality and safe operation of trains.

At the beginning of the meeting, General Manager Mrs. Shobhana Bandopadhyay said that providing complaint-free service to railway passengers is one of our top priorities. Additional Divisional Railway Managers and concerned officers of all three divisions should ensure continuous monitoring of Rail Madad Portal. Take passenger complaints seriously.

The General Manager directed the officers present to ensure water filling/cleanliness/punchility of every train passing through WCR. Follow the instructions given in the Railway Board meeting, under which if there are any shortcomings in the railway yard, then identify them by survey and complete the improvement work in a planned manner in all 27 yards of West Central Railway within a fortnight.

All three divisions should ensure supply of safety equipment to railway workers during the coming monsoon. Ensure maintenance of loop line by giving importance like main line.The General Manager also reviewed the progress of infrastructure works. He said that safety is paramount for Railways.

She reviewed the progress of work and projects for increasing passenger facilities and directed the concerned officials to expedite the work.Smt. Bandopadhyay instructed the departmental heads and divisional railway managers that the Railway Board has set a target for scrap disposal, we have to achieve this target.
