Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Singh on Wednesday lauded the progress made by the Bhopal district in the resolution of revenue cases.
The key official was chairing a review meeting with officials in the state capital. He told officials to consolidate the momentum by holding regular meetings with Patwaris (land record officers) and guiding them through the resolution process.
Singh said that those performing well would be rewarded, while those found negligent in their official duties would face penalties. The meeting was attended by Bhopal Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Revenue Kiran Gupta, and all relevant revenue officers.
The review revealed that significant progress has been made in the resolution of revenue cases in Bhopal district. 86% of name transfer cases, 88% of partition cases, and 88% of boundary demarcation cases have been resolved.
Of the total 10,978 registered cases of land title rights, 7,856 cases have been resolved. Singh noted this while instructing officials to ensure that the pace is maintained in the future.
During the meeting, Singh also conducted a court-wise review of revenue cases. He directed revenue officers to monitor the cases pending in their courts every day.
The top officer in the division said that cases from the CM Helpline should be taken up on a priority basis.The impetus on the resolution of revenue cases is part of the "Revenue Mahabhiyaan-3" (Revenue Campaign 3), which commenced on November 15 and will run until 15 December.
The state-wide campaign focuses mainly on resolving cases related to name transfers, partition, record rectification, boundary demarcation, marking of traditional paths, land plotting in maps, linking land records to Aadhaar, farmer registration, PM Kisan scheme, and the Swamitva scheme.
