Cold conditions would intensify across the state in the second week of November, due to the effect of northern winds, night temperatures would dip in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ujjain and other cities.
Pachmarhi was the coldest on the first day of November as for the first time in the season, the night temperature reached 12.6 degrees. Mercury remained below 20 degrees in more than 25 cities including Ujjain, Mandla.
According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature starts falling due to northern winds. The nights become more cold. The effect of winds will intensify in the second week. This will lead to a drop in mercury. However, the mercury will remain around 30 degrees celsius during the day.
Temperature of 12.6 degrees was recorded in Pachmarhi. 15.6 degree celsius in Mandla, 16.1 degrees in Malajkhand, 16.5 degrees in Betul, 17.4 degrees in Rajgarh, 17.5 degrees in Rewa-Raisen, 17.8 degrees in Umaria, 18 degrees in Chhindwara, 18.2 degrees in Tikamgarh, 18.4 degrees in Bhopal-Khandwa.
It reached 18.6 degrees in Khargone, 18.8 degrees in Gwalior-Narmadapuram, 19 degrees in Jabalpur, Nowgong, Seoni-Ujjain, 19.4 degrees in Guna-Indore, 19.5 degrees in Khajuraho-Ratlam and 19.8 degrees in Dhar-Narmadapuram.

It has rained twice in 10 years. In the year 1936, more than 5.5 inches of rainfall was recorded in a month.
