CM launches Guruji Credit Card and Manki Munda Scholarship schemes

The government is ready to provide financial help to ensure that children move forward in shaping their future,” said Chief Minister Champai Soren today while gifting Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme and Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme to the students in a function organized at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Stadium in Khelgaon, Ranchi. Encouraging the children, the Chief Minister said that now they will not let financial constraints come between them and their studies. The government will give a boost to your career.

The CM said that the government is continuously working to create a better environment for education in the state. Many schemes are underway to ensure that children of all sections of this state get a chance to get better and higher education. Unless the children here achieve good levels of education, they cannot take this state forward. In such a situation, the education system is being strengthened for the better future of children.

The CM said that Jharkhand is a poor state. The children of tribal and indigenous families here are deprived of getting higher education due to financial difficulties. In such a situation, the government is providing financial assistance through various schemes to provide higher education to these poor tribal and indigenous children. He said that he is working to bring the children of his state into the mainstream by providing them good education.

The CM said that the government is standing with our poor children towards fulfilling the dreams they have for their future. The government will provide financial support to those children who are moving forward with the idea of becoming engineers, doctors, lawyers etc., but financial constraints are creating hindrances, so that they can achieve a good position through education and make their mark with the state making important contributions in strengthening the family and society.

The CM said that children will no longer need to mortgage anything to get higher education and they will not have to give any guarantee for financial help. The government will become the guarantor. Under Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme, students will get education loan up to Rs 15 lakh. In this you will also get many concessions from the government. Under the Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme, girl students will be given an incentive amount of Rs 15 thousand per year for Diploma level course and Rs 30 thousand per year for B.Tech course.

The CM said that the government is providing financial help to the children of the state for preparing for various examinations and doing various courses. In this connection, under the Chief Minister Education Promotion Scheme, free coaching is being provided to the students preparing for various examination competitions. The government is also bearing the expenses of accommodation and food. At the same time, the state government is giving 100 percent scholarship to the students of Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Backward and Minority category for higher education abroad.

On this occasion, Ministers Satyanand Bhokta and Badal, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji, Secretary to the Chief Minister Arwa Rajkamal, Divisional Commissioner Bal Kishun Munda, Deputy Inspector General of Police Akhilesh Kumar Jha, Director of Higher Education Ramniwas Yadav and many other officials were present.

Salient features of the Programme

● 1200 students got Guruji Credit Card. 900 girl students benefited from Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme.

● Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme portal launched.

● Launch of new web portal of Jharkhand Science Technology and Innovation Council.

● Higher Education and Technical Department signed MoU with Central Co-operative Bank Dhanbad and HDFC Bank regarding Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme.

● MoU signed between Jharkhand Science Technology and Innovation Council and National Innovation Foundation of India.

● Newly constructed 3-D theater inaugurated at Regional Science Center Ranchi.
