CM inaugurates Transport Nagar phase 1, lays foundation of phase 2

Today Ranchi is getting a well-equipped and organized Transport Nagar. Transport Nagar will make the traffic and transport system smooth and strong, while transport business will get momentum,” said Chief Minister Hemant Soren in his address while inaugurating Phase-1 and laying the foundation stone of Phase-2 of the newly constructed Transport Nagar by the Urban Development and Housing Department at Sukurhutu in Ranchi.

He said that this will be the permanent place for transport businessmen, where they will get all the facilities related to business.

The Chief Minister said that the facilities in Transport Nagar will be expanded according to the need and requirement in the coming days. Today the inauguration of Phase One of Transport Nagar was completed. At present, many facilities related to transport business have been made available here and many modern facilities are to be made available here in Phase-2 as well.

The Chief Minister said that Transport Nagar will provide a lot of convenience to the common citizens. This will provide relief from the traffic jam in the city to a great extent. The traffic system will be smooth. Heavy vehicles will not come to the city, which will ease the movement on the roads. At the same time, activities related to transport business including parking of heavy goods vehicles, loading-unloading, accommodation of drivers will be possible at one place.

The Chief Minister said that Transport Nagar will encourage many other activities in this area. This will expand the city. Urban activities will also increase rapidly here. Business will gain momentum. New employment opportunities will be created. Overall, Transport Nagar will give a new dimension to development.

Minister Hafizul Hasan, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji, Principal Secretary Sunil Kumar, Director SUDA Amit Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Ranchi Manjunath Bhajantri, Municipal Commissioner of Ranchi Municipal Corporation Sandeep Singh and other officials were present on this occasion.

Meanwhile, a delegation led by Maulana Ahmed Wali Faisal Rahmani, Secretary of Imarat-e-Shariah, Bihar-Jharkhand and Odisha's Ameer-e-Shariah-cum-All India Muslim Personal Law Board met CM Hemant Soren today. It apprised the Chief Minister of his sentiments regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill. The delegation that met the CM in the presence of Minister Irfan Ansari and State Congress President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh included MP and member of the Joint Parliamentary Committee constituted for the Waqf Amendment Bill, Dr. Nasir Hussain and Maulana Muhibulah Nadvi, Minnat Rahmani, Qazi Mohammad Anjar Alam Qasmi, Maulana Mufti Anwar Qasmi, Maulana Tahjibul Hasan, Fahad Rahmani, Ehtesham Rahmani and Mufti Shahabuddin.
