CM hands over approval letters for higher education among 22 youths

Sunday, 29 September 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said that our government is working to give respect to the people of the state by connecting them with various welfare schemes through its efforts. Today, the officials of all the departments including the Welfare Department are working hard continuously. Our government has made the form of public welfare schemes in such a way that all of you get its benefits directly. This is a government run from the village, not from Ranchi Headquarters. There are villages in the state where people have not seen the block officials but now times are changing.

He said that now the officials from the block office and the district to the headquarters are going from panchayat to panchayat, village to village, house to house to solve your problems and give you the benefits of the state government schemes. Now the time has changed.

The CM was addressing people at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Transnational Scholarship Foundation Stone Laying, Appointment Letter and Asset Distribution Program organized at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium, Khelgaon, Ranchi on Saturday.

The CM said that through the "Aapki Yojana-Aapki Sarkar-Aapke Dwar" program, the work of giving support in old age to the elderly people of the state was done. The work of giving pension to every old person, widow, woman, disabled was done. It became the first state in the country, where all the needy are being given the benefit of Sarvajan Pension Scheme.

Soren said that under the "Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Mainiya Samman Yojana", every sister and mother who has completed 18 years of age is getting the benefit of the scheme. He said that our government is giving respect to the women power of the state as well as making them financially strong. Many competitive examinations are being conducted to provide jobs to the youth of the state. For the interests of the tribals and natives of the state, our government passed the Sarna Dharma Code from the Jharkhand Assembly and sent it to the Central Government but it was shelved. The CM said that our government made a local policy but it was put on hold. Our government gave respect to women, made children take exams for jobs, why did the previous governments not do this?

The CM said that today youth have come here to pursue higher education abroad. They are being provided acceptance letters. The youth should tell which state of the country is there where higher education is being imparted abroad on 100% scholarship. I was not aware that the youth of this state are so eager for higher education. Earlier we kept the number of students low, but a large number of children started coming, then its number was increased. Many children came back after studying, many got employment there. Now the minister has also requested that this time more applications have come. Many children could not join it. It has been said to increase its number. Certainly, if we can send 25 children abroad for education, then why can't we send 100 children? There is a need for policy formulation in this. I will seriously consider this.

Soren said that the state government is providing three-room concrete houses to 20 lakh homeless families of Jharkhand under the Abua Awas Yojana with its own resources. The Chief Minister said that the previous governments have not done justice to the farmers of the state as well. Our government has now waived off agricultural loans of up to Rs 2 lakh of the farmers here. The state government is providing 200 units of free electricity to the electricity consumers of Jharkhand, while the old electricity bills have also been waived off.

On this occasion, Ministers Banna Gupta, Deepak Birua, former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay, Chairman, Jharkhand Gau Seva Commission Rajiv Ranjan Prasad, Secretary of Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Minority and Backward Class Welfare Department Kripananda Jha, Tribal Welfare Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha along with other officials and a large number of people were present.
