Addressing people on the occasion, the CM said, “The fight for a separate state of Jharkhand was also fought so that the tribals and natives get employment and rights in the economic activities here. But, for 20 years after the formation of a separate state, the work of keeping the tribals and natives of this place away from economic activities continued. When our government was formed, we made a policy to provide employment to local people in all the private institutions here. The result of this policy is that local people are getting employment in factories and institutions operating in the state.”

The CM said that even today there are many villages where people have never seen a block office. There are also people who get tired of running to the block office again and again to get pension and ration cards made, but their work was not done. But, our government is not running from Ranchi headquarters but from villages. Today officers are reaching your doorstep and solving your problems. We are empowering you by connecting you with government schemes.

The CM said that the government is working to provide quality education to the poor children of the state and to shape their future. Schools of Excellence have been opened on the lines of private schools, where poor children are getting education through English medium. To ensure that the education of girls does not stop due to lack of money, they have been linked with Savitribai Phule Kishori Savitri Yojana. To enable the children of this state to become doctors, engineers, lawyers, journalists, the government is providing education loan up to Rs. 15 lakh on its guarantee under Guruji Credit Card Scheme. Meritorious students of the state are being given scholarships for higher education abroad. All hostels are being renovated, where food for the students living there is also being arranged by the government. Now we are moving forward towards opening labour residential schools in all the districts, so that the children of the labourers here can get good and quality education.
