CM dedicates Transferable Development Rights web application

The honorarium of elected public representatives of urban bodies will be increased by 20 percent. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced this while addressing the Devi Ahilyabai Holkar-Women Public Representatives Conference organized at his official residence. He said that all the mayors, presidents, chairpersons, vice-presidents, and corporators will get increased honourarium from next month.

The honorarium of the Mayor will be Rs 26 thousand 400, the honorarium of the Vice President will be Rs 21 thousand 600 while that Corporator will be Rs 14 thousand 400 per month. The honorarium of a Municipal President will increase from Rs 6 thousand to Rs 7 thousand 200 per month. Vice Presidents' honourarium will increase from Rs 4 thousand 800 to Rs 5 thousand 760 per month and that of a Corporator will increase from Rs 3 thousand 600 to Rs 4 thousand 320 per month.

The Municipal Council Chairman will get Rs 5,760 instead of Rs 4,800, Vice Chairman will get Rs 5,400 instead of Rs 4,200 and the Corporator will get Rs 3,360 per month instead of Rs 2,800. Chief Minister Yadav also dedicated the Transferable Development Rights (TDR) web application and launched the certificate generation process.

Chief Minister Yadav said that urban bodies will be given a special incentive amount to make them financially self-reliant. The municipality, which generates maximum income in its division through taxes and fees will be given Rs 5 crore while the Municipal Council will be given Rs 2 crore as an incentive yearly. This amount will be used as a Corporator fund for the infrastructural works recommended by the public representatives.

Chief Minister Yadav said that by preparing a gender budget, special provisions are being made in the supplementary budget for the safety and convenience of women, under which arrangements will be made for the CCTV project, special provision in city buses for local transport for women, and special pink toilets. Besides, special emphasis is being laid on schemes like special provisions on priority for women entrepreneurs in bodies and the inclusion of women’s names in beneficiary-oriented schemes.

Chief Minister said that the state will celebrate 2025 as Year of Industries. Therefore, employment opportunities will be provided to women by combining small-cottage industries, women's self-help groups, and MSMEs. Regional Investors Conclave is being organized every month. Investors' conclave will be held in Gwalior in August, Sagar in September, and Rewa in October. Industries headed by women are being given priority. Remembering Devi Ahilyabai's rule, he said that she had taken effective steps for self-employment by starting Maheshwari saree weaving 300 years ago. Similarly, women representatives should play a strong role in providing employment opportunities in their respective areas.

Chief Minister said that along with Raksha Bandhan events, every possible contribution should be made to the Tiranga Abhiyan initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Every house must have the tricolour, it will be a real tribute to the freedom fighters. He said that Akhand Bharat Diwas should be celebrated with full dignity on the 14th of August. Grand and joyous programs should be organized on 15th August involving the police bands established in every district. Also, the programs should be organized in a dignified manner by including the police band in the government programs being held in the districts. Arrangements should be made to celebrate Janmashtami on a massive scale. All urban bodies must have programmes to unite society. Activities and competitions focusing on women and children should be organized on Janmashtami.

 

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has said that compensation will be provided for acquiring land for widening of roads more than 24 meters wide in Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Satna, and Rewa. This right will be extended to all 16 municipal corporations. Provisions are being made to make the Municipal Corporation financially self-reliant. FAR will play an important role. The Municipal Corporation will be more financially empowered for urban development. With this, corporations will also be able to generate their sources of income. Throwing light on the importance of festivals in Indian culture, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the matriarchy has always been revered and is considered significant in Indian tradition. He said that the government should be concerned with its culture, hence the government has decided to play an important role in the celebration of all festivals.

 

Let MP be number one in performance of women's empowerment schemes

 

Urban Development and Urban Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya said that under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Shri Modi, our government is committed to women's empowerment. For the first time in Madhya Pradesh, 50 percent reservation was given to women in municipalities. Women public representatives should work dedicatedly for the self-confidence and self-respect of women and make the state number one in the country in all schemes for women's empowerment. The conference was addressed by MP Shri V.D. Sharma and Minister of State Smt. Bagri. Public Health Engineering Minister Smt. Sampatiya Uike, Minister of State Smt. Pratima Bagri, Bhopal Mayor Smt. Malti Rai, MLA Shri Rameshwar Sharma, and a large number of women representatives were present.

 

Principal Secretary Shri Neeraj Mandloi said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Madhya Pradesh leads in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in the country. The state has also made notable achievements in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, PM Swanidhi, Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana, and Smart City Project. Work is being done towards making the urban bodies financially self-reliant.

 

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav launched the program with kanya pujan, lighting the lamp and garlanding the picture of Devi Ahilya. He welcomed the women who came to the Chief Minister’s residence with flowers, got Rakhi tied, and sought their blessings. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was welcomed with vermilion amid the beating of drums and dance.

 

The exhibition of products of the National Urban Livelihood Mission, PM Swanidhi, and Self-Help Groups, created a festive and fair-like atmosphere. Stalls of rakhis, cosmetics, food items, salwar suits, and sarees were put up, besides arrangements for applying mehendi. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Minister Shri Vijayvargiya also visited each stall and talked to women entrepreneurs.
