Chief Minister Mohan Yadav met Sushri 12-year-old mountaineer Preeti Parmar from Sehore district at the Mantralaya today. Preeti recently achieved the remarkable feat of climbing Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Europe.
Yadav congratulated her on this significant accomplishment. Also present at the meeting was MLA Gopal Singh Engineer. Preeti expressed her gratitude to her family, especially her elder brother Shri Chetan Parmar who is also her coach and guide.
It is worth mentioning that Yadav extended financial assistance of Rs. 4 lakh to Preeti Parmar, based on the recommendation of MLA Shri Gopal Singh Engineer, to ensure she faced no financial obstacles in her mountaineering endeavor. Preeti began her climb from the base camp at 1:00 am on August 16 and successfully reached the summit within nine hours.
She was accompanied by her brother, Chetan Parmar, who also successfully conquered Mount Elbrus on his first attempt. Although they initially planned to reach the summit on August 15, severe weather conditions forced them to delay their climb. Despite this setback, Preeti and Chetan completed the challenge with remarkable determination and courage, bringing pride to their family and the entire state. Mount Elbrus, standing at 5,642 meters, is a coveted summit for climbers worldwide. Preeti’s achievement in conquering this peak highlights her extraordinary ability and courage.
