Underlining the growing impact of social media, Director of Public Relations, Anshul Gupta, on Tuesday advised influencers to check the veracity of the news before publishing it online.
Gupta said that social media has emerged as the most effective medium for information dissemination, but its credibility should be maintained by verifying the authenticity of news prior to sharing it on various platforms.
The top PR official underlined that social media prominence comes with responsibility.
He said content creators should remain mindful of the DPTA Act and tailor content to reader interest and understanding.
Gupta was addressing the divisional workshop on “Social Media and New Age Media” organised by the Divisional Public Relations Office, Bhopal. On this occasion, Additional Director of Public Relations, GS Wadhwa, and Sanjay Jain were present.
The workshop covered important topics such as digital marketing, video editing, graphic designing, video shooting, and scriptwriting.
Influencers were introduced to modern digital tools and the latest techniques.
They were also encouraged to take on a more impactful role in administrative and community programmes. Special emphasis was placed on the impact of digital media, brand promotion strategies, and effective communication skills.
Expert speakers explained the latest trends in digital marketing, effective storytelling, and how to develop creative skills in a simple and practical manner.The workshop was conducted by Joint Director of Public Relations, Pankaj Mittal, and the vote of thanks was given by Deputy Director, Arun Sharma.The workshop featured social media influencers—Aryan Chaturvedi, Rashmi Golya, Sarvesh Pancholi, Irshad Ahmed Zaidi, Satish Kushwaha, and Sushant Kaushal, who shared their experiences.
