Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand, K. Ravi Kumar, during his tour of the area, inspected half a dozen booths with low voting percentage in Mayurhand block and Pratappur block respectively under Simaria and Chatra assembly constituencies of Chatra district on Tuesday.
The CEO inspected the nationalized Manjhgawan booth number 321 of Mayurhand block. On the spot, he took ground information about the low voting percentage here from the BLO of the booth. Also, he got to know in detail about the dead, duplicate and shifted category voters under the booth.
Kumar said that the time of assembly elections is near, so now there is very little time to correct any error in the voter list. Therefore, he directed that all level officers and employees involved in the revision work of the voter list should execute all types of errors in campaign mode. Instructions were also given to complete the work of updating colour photos in place of unclear and black and white photos 100 per cent.
After this, he also visited Government Middle School Mayurhand Booth No. 280, newly created Primary School Parasi Booth No. 286, Upgraded Middle School Manhari Booth No. 292. During this, the Chief Election Officer also planted a sapling in the premises of Upgraded Middle School Manhari Booth No. 292.
On the occasion, Sub-Divisional Officer Chatra Surendra Oraon, Sub-Divisional Officer Simaria Sunny Raj, Deputy Election Officer Vedwanti Kumari, Block Development Officer Mayurhand Manish Kumar, District Public Relations Officer Shakeel Ahmed along with supervisors of all the concerned booths, BLOs and local people were present.
