The meeting of the newly elected MLAs of Congress was held at the State Congress office on Sunday. In the meeting, the central leadership was unanimously authorized to choose the leader of the legislative party.

State in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, observer Tariq Anwar, Mallu Bhatti, Congress State president Keshav Mahato Kamlesh were present in the meeting. The State In-Charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir said that the Government should be formed as soon as possible. There is no pressure from the Congress to make the Deputy CM. Tribute was also paid to Congress leader Madan Mohan Sharma on the occasion.

Kumar Jayamangal alias Anoop Singh, Suresh Baitha, Pradeep Yadav, Dr. Irfan Ansari, Deepika Pandey Singh, Shilpa Neha Tirkey, Naman Vikas Kongadi, Bhushan Bada, Shweta Singh, Dr. Rameshwar Oraon, Rajesh Kachhap, Ramchandra Singh, Radhakrishna Kishore and Sona Ram Sinku were present in the meeting.

The results of the Jharkhand assembly elections came out, in which once again people expressed faith in the ruling coalition. Out of 81 seats, 56 went to India Block whereas NDA got 24 and others got 1 seat. JMM has won the maximum number of 34 seats.

Congress won 16, RJD won 4 and Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (Liberation)- CPI (ML) (L) won 2 seats. NDA alliance has suffered losses in Jharkhand elections. NDA got total 24 seats. In which BJP won 21, AJSU, JDU and LJP Ram Vilas won one seat each.

This time, there is talk of Kumar Jayamangal alias Anoop Singh, who won from Bermo, and Pradeep Yadav, who won from Podiyahaat, being included in the cabinet. There is also talk of Dr. Rameshwar Oraon as the tribal face. There is talk of inclusion of Deepika Pandey Singh from women quota and Irfan Ansari from minority quota in the cabinet.
