Saturday, 29 June 2024 | PNS | Gwalior

A restoration campaign, under the guidance of saints will be held  to save the existence of the River Vaishali. This restoration of the sacred river is expected to provide better life for the future generations. This campaign will be started under the guidance of saint society, in which people from every section of the society will participate.

Vaishali River (Murar River) Restoration Campaign's mastermind Keshav Pandey said that the life-giving Vaishali river of Murar area, which once was a continuous stream of clean water has become a dirty drain today. He added that due to the ever-increasing encroachment and dumping of filth, the existence of the river is in danger. Due to this, the groundwater level of Murar area is also falling rapidly.

He said that this situation can create a serious water crisis in the future. Elaborating further, Pandey said that the absence of the river can prove to be dangerous for the environment. In such a situation, keeping in mind the future of the coming generations, a public campaign will be launched for the restoration of the river for the sake of water and environmental conservation.
