After the resignation of Alamgir Alam from the posts of Minister in the government and CLP leader, Cabinet reshuffle is imminent in the government, while the post of CLP leader in the State Congress unit is also going to be filled in the wake of Assembly elections scheduled in the next 4-5 months.

Now everyone's eyes are on who will become minister from Congress quota in place of Alamgir Alam in Champai government and who will be the leader of the Jharkhand Congress Legislative Party. Former Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Parliamentary Affairs Minister as well as Ex Congress Legislative Party leader Alamgir Alam resigned from all posts after being sent to jail in ED action.

Siscussion in the Congress and the party's state office is on that Congress MLA from Jamtara, Dr. Irfan Ansari will be made a minister. Political observers say that behind the speculations of Irfan Ansari being made a minister, his coming from the minority community is a big reason.

A political expert said that the first thing in favour of Dr Irfan Ansari is that he comes from the minority (Muslim) community. After Alam, he is now the only Muslim MLA. The second thing is that the Jamtara MLA is one of the few MLAs of the ruling party who gave an edge to the India Alliance candidates in their respective areas in the Lok Sabha elections. Another thing in favour of Irfan Ansari is that there was no minority candidate from the India Block in the Lok Sabha elections, so there is every possibility that Congress will make Irfan a minister to garner Muslim votes.

On the other hand, Deepika Pandey Singh's name is also in the news for becoming a minister as Alamgir Alam's successor. One reason for this is that she did not get a ticket in the Lok Sabha elections. After making her its candidate from the Godda seat, the party withdrew the ticket. Then Pradeep Yadav was made the candidate from there.

In the Lok Sabha elections Congress candidate Pradeep Yadav got a lead from Mahagama assembly constituency, from where Deepika Pandey is an MLA. In such a situation, if the party high command makes her a minister, it can help in pleasing half the population in the assembly elections.

Due to the resignation of Alamgir Alam, the post of leader of the Congress Legislature Party has also fallen vacant. The first name that is in discussion for this post is that of Banna Gupta. By making Banna Gupta, one of the strong leaders of Congress coming from the OBC community, the leader of the legislative party, Congress can work to please the OBC voters in the assembly elections.

At the same time, the name of Rameshwar Oraon is also in the race to be made the leader of the Congress Legislature Party. The most important thing with Rameshwar Oraon, who is handling the responsibility of Finance and Food Supply Minister in the Champai Soren government, is that he also has experience of running the organization as the President of the State Congress, when the Hemant government came to power in 2019, Rameshwar Oraon was the President of the State Congress. He is more experienced than others among the Congress MLAs.
