Cabinet nod to Govt jobs for kin of martyred Agniveer, hike in DA

The State Cabinet today gave its nod to provide financial assistance and jobs to dependents of martyred Agniveer. The decision to this affect was taken at a cabinet meet chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Many proposals were approved in the cabinet meeting held in Project Bhawan on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel said that Jharkhand government will provide financial assistance to the dependents of the martyred Agniveers. Along with this, a dependent will also be given a government job.

She informed that dependent has been completely defined. Along with the wife of the martyred Agniveer, son and adopted son have also been included in it. Chief Minister Hemant Soren had already announced this. She said that if any Agniveer of Jharkhand is martyred, then his family will be given financial help of Rs 10 lakh by the state government. Along with this, a member of the family will also be given a government job.

Agnipath is a new HR Management scheme for Defence Forces. Candidates inducted through this scheme will be called Agniveers. These Agniveers once enrolled into the Armed Forces, will serve for a period of four years.

The scheme aims to give young people the opportunity to experience military life without committing to a long-term career, and to help them decide if they want to join the armed forces permanently.

Hemant Soren's cabinet approved 44 proposals today. Many important decisions have been taken before the Jharkhand assembly elections. This also includes the decision to waive the bills of consumers who use up to 200 units of electricity per month. The cabinet has approved the proposal to waive the electricity bills of 39,44,389 consumers. This will put a burden of about Rs 3,584 crore on the government treasury. The cabinet also gave its nod to increase the dearness allowance from 230 per cent to 239 per cent.

In the cabinet decision approval of posts in Fingerprint Department under Home Department. DK Tiwari will again become the Election Officer of Jharkhand, his tenure will be for 1 year. Administrative approval of total primary amount of 275 crores for installation of solar power plant in Tenughat Lalpania Power Plant.

Decision to continue four special schools of Jharkhand including Netarhat, Jharkhand Fire Service Bill 2024 passed, approval of scheme on the lines of the Center to develop eco-tourism in the state, maximum amount 44 crores. Two science exhibition buses will be run in the state, approval of proposal to build additional power station and operation line in AIIMS Deoghar.

Establishment of solar power plant in Palamu, amendment in Jharkhand Assistant Service Teacher Bill, now 12 months' honorarium will be given in PM Poshan Sakhi Yojana, earlier it was given for 10 months

Creation of three new circles in Chaibasa Sadar zone, MOU with Government of India for digital crop survey Approval, Extension of Jharkhand Agitator Identification Commission for 1 year.
