Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) organized a meeting with SC/ST vendors under the chairmanship of C. R. Mahapatra, Executive Director (Projects & Additional Charge of Materials Management). The meeting was attended by senior BSL officials, including Anil Kumar, Chief General Manager (Services), P. K. Baisakhia, Chief General Manager (Maintenance), J. V. Shekhar, Chief General Manager (Shops), A. Bankira, Chief General Manager (Information Technology), Harsh Nigam, Chief General Manager (Materials Management), C. R. Mishra, Chief General Manager (Materials Management), Prakash Kumar, Chief General Manager (Mechanical), Dhananjay Kumar, General Manager (Materials Management), and I. H. Ansari, Deputy General Manager (Materials Management).
Representatives from the Government of Jharkhand, including Rajendra Prasad, General Manager of District Industries Center Dhanbad, and Kiran Tiru, Senior Manager of the SC/ST section, also participated along with over 20 SC/ST vendors.
The meeting began with a welcome address by Dhananjay Kumar, General Manager (Materials Management), and was moderated by I. H. Ansari, Deputy General Manager (Materials Management). C. R. Mahapatra emphasized BSL's commitment to the holistic development of SC/ST vendors. A detailed presentation on ISO-8000 was given by Devyani Chakraborty, Senior Manager of the Business Excellence Department.
During the meeting, SC/ST vendors raised various issues, which were discussed by BSL officials. Both sides expressed their commitment to resolving these issues through mutual cooperation and to enhancing the quality of materials and services supplied by the SC/ST vendors.
